*BEFORE COMPLETING A HARD RESET, BACKUP ANYTHING YOU HAVE STORED ON THE HANDSET, THIS INCLUDES CONTACTS*
1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY at the same time use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device.
2. Your phone will restart when this has been completed.
Flight mode enables you to switch off the phone part of the mobile.
When in 'Flight mode' you can not make and receive calls, but you can continue using other parts of the phone like the camera, music player etc.
To switch on/off
1. Tap the service strength indecator icon at the top of the screen.
2. Tap either 'Turn on flight mode' or 'Turn off flight mode', which ever is showing.
3. If you require a PIN to use your phone, you will be asked to enter it.
To change the phones ID name;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Systems' tab.
4. Tap 'About'.
5. Tap 'Device ID' tab.
6. Tap 'Device name' and enter your new name, then tab 'OK'.
To set up your prefrences for the key lock;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Systems' tab.
4. Tap 'Key Lock'.
5. From this menu you can then select either to;
Lock all buttons except Power button.
Lock butttons if device is locked.
Do not lock buttons.
Tap your choice then tap 'OK'.
To lock;
1. From the front screen tap the icon of the open lock. When this is done the icon will change to show as a closed lock.
To unlock;
1. Tap 'Unlock' (bottom left hand corner of the screen).
2. Tap 'Unlock' (middle right hand side of the screen).
To find where to enter the message centre number on the mobile phone, please follow the instructions below;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Phone'.
4. Tap 'Services' tab.
5. Highlight 'Voice Mail and Text Messages' and tap 'Get Settings'.
6. Highlight 'Text messages service center' and enter either;
Pay Monthly: +447802000332
Pay as you go: +447802092035
then tap 'OK'.
To change to manual network selection;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Phone'.
4. Tap 'Network' tab.
5. Tap 'Network selection' drop down menu and tap 'Manual'.
6. The Orbit will now search for the local networks. When found, highlight your chosen network and tap 'OK'.
To change to automatic network selection;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Phone'.
4. Tap 'Network' tab.
5. Tap 'Network selection' drop down menu and tap 'Automatic'.
To change the PIN number on your phone;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Phone'.
4. Check that 'Require PIN when phone is used' box is ticked. To add tap the box.
5. Tap 'Change PIN'.
6. Enter old PIN, then tap 'Enter'.
7. Enter new PIN, then tap 'Enter'.
8. Reenter new PIN, then tap 'Enter'.
To find the software version of your phone;
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'About'.
To find where to enter the Voicemail centre number on the mobile phone, please follow the instructions below:
1. Tap 'Start'.
2. Tap 'Settings'.
3. Tap 'Phone'.
4. Tap 'Services' tab.
5. Highlight 'Voice Mail and Text Messages' and tap 'Get Settings'.
6. Highlight 'Voice Mail' and enter 901, then tap 'OK'.
